The story
I wrote this song while we were living in Thailand. It came from a deep inner yearning...a longing to grow closer to Christ that I couldn't put into words any other way.
The first verse is a plea: Come to me, Lord, comfort me. The second is the answer I've found again and again since then. I am weak, but He is strong, and He walks with us step by step until we feel we belong.
It was my first release on the streaming services, first as a single and then as the opening track of In His Presence. I'm grateful it's still one of the songs people find first.
